SigStick DMCA Takedown Policy
1. User Responsibility
Users are solely responsible for the content they upload to SigStick. By uploading content, users confirm that they own or have obtained the necessary rights or permissions from copyright holders.
2. Copyright Infringement Notification
If you believe your copyright-protected work has been posted on SigStick without authorization, you may submit a formal DMCA takedown notice. Please ensure that your claim is valid and made in good faith.
3. Before You Submit
- Consider whether the use may qualify as fair use, fair dealing, or other legal exceptions.
- Only the copyright owner or an agent authorized to act on their behalf may submit a request.
- Submitting false or incomplete claims may lead to account suspension or legal consequences.
4. What to Include in Your Takedown Notice
To process your request, you must include the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you believe is being infringed.
- The URL(s) or location(s) of the infringing material on SigStick.
- Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement by you that:
"I have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that:
"The information in this notice is accurate, and I am the copyright owner or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner."
- Your physical or electronic signature (typed name is acceptable for digital submission).
Incomplete or vague requests will not be processed.

6. What Happens Next
- We will review valid takedown notices promptly.
- If the content is removed, we may notify the uploader and provide them an opportunity to file a counter-notification.
- We have a policy to disable or terminate accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers, in accordance with applicable law.
7. Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed in error or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. We will pass it on to the claimant, and if they don’t initiate legal action within 10 business days, we may restore the content.
8. Important Notice
Submitting a false claim is illegal and may result in liability for damages, including costs and legal fees. Abuse of this process may lead to account termination.
